Eletrical Repairs
If your home is suddenly without power, the first place to look is your fuse box. A faulty appliance or power surge may have tripped a switch or blown a fuse. First see if all the switches point upwards – if not, simply flick them all upward. If you’re still without electricity, you can try to reset the main switch.
If it’s still not working or one of the switches won’t flick up, you need to call one of our electricians. Working with electricity poses several safety risks, so we strongly recommend calling us to help you. Our electricians are qualified.
Lighting
Some lighting issues are easy to fix. These include replacing a blown light bulb or checking the fuse box for a tripped switch. But if you’ve already done this and a particular room is still plunged in darkness, it may be worth calling one of our electricians for help.
Our electricians will test the light switch to see if the mechanism is broken. If the switch head or toggle doesn’t stay in place, they’ll remove the old unit and disconnect the wires. They’ll replace it with a new light switch unit and connect the wires again. They’ll also check for loose wires and secure everything in place. If the old unit is working, they’ll inspect the fuse box for blown fuses or faulty switches. If they spot something, they’ll replace the fuse, repair the switch and adjust the power load if necessary..
